I bit more about me and my journey into health and wellness. I was fortunate to grow up in a family where good food was the norm. We ate dinners together for much of the time, and my parents encouraged us to try new foods. I am forever thankful for that. I grew up on a semi tropical island in the southeast and we ate ostly Mediteranean inspired food based upon my fathers Italian heritage. After attending college for Natural Resource Management and moving to the mountains to ski and live, I decided to go back to school in 2004 when my mother suddenly passed away in an accident. When I had originally moved to Colorado in 1992 I would spend hours pursuing the health food stores, eating plant based foods and trying all manner of tinctures and herbs. I knew I loved exercise and food and sought to connect the two. I returned to Colorado State University for a degree in Nutrition and dietetics. Along the way I drove for two years over a 12,000ft mountain pass twice a week to pursue my dreams. Not being someone
